are you tired of seeing the same old outfits at the mall? are you ready to express your individuality through fashion? well, you don't have to be a professional stylist or spend tons of money on expensive clothes. with some effort, you'll be able to develop your style in no time!
know your body type
buy clothes that flatter your shape and size, not just whatever looks good on the rack or someone else.
be comfortable with yourself.
the best way to find your style is by being comfortable with yourself. when you feel good about what you're wearing, it shows in your body language and attitude--and that's something everyone can appreciate!
it's okay if you don't know what looks good on you yet; we all have our unique shapes and sizes. you may need some time before finding out what works best for your body type (and don't worry--we'll get there). don't be afraid of trying new things though! try out different styles and colors until one stands out as being right for the occasion or event at hand. be sure not to judge yourself too harshly either; nobody expects perfection from themselves or others; instead, focus on having fun!
look at what other people are wearing.
if you want to be stylish, it's a good idea to look at other people. take note of what they're wearing and how they put their outfits together.
if you see someone wearing something that looks good on them, ask yourself why it works so well with the rest of their outfit. then think about how you could use similar elements in your wardrobe (if possible).
don't be afraid to experiment.
- try new things. don't be afraid to experiment with your look, because it's the only way you'll find out what works for you and what doesn't.
- be open to trying new things. if something catches your eye, don't let fear hold you back from trying it on in the store or buying it online--even if it seems like something that wouldn't work with your usual style!
- be bold: if there's an item of clothing that catches your eye but isn't quite right for your usual wardrobe, consider wearing it anyway! for example, a pink dress might feel out of place at first glance but could look great when paired with another piece like a jacket or shoes (or even nothing but underwear).
don't buy things that you'll never wear.
the first step in developing your style is to buy things you like.
if you don't like it, you won't wear it. it's as simple as that. if you don't love what you're buying, then why spend money on something that will probably end up in the back of your closet or at the bottom of a giveaway pile? you can use this rule when shopping for anything: clothes or accessories, shoes or bags--anything!
when deciding whether or not to purchase an item of clothing (or any other object), ask yourself these questions: is this something i would wear? Do i feel good when i put this on? does it fit me well? if your answers are yes across the board then go ahead and buy it!
in addition to asking yourself whether an article of clothing makes sense for your wardrobe, try asking yourself if there are any specific occasions where wearing this item would be appropriate for future reference purposes before purchasing it just because it looks nice online but doesn't necessarily match up with anything else currently hanging in your closet right now."
you can create your style!
your style is unique to you, and it's not the same as anyone else's. your personality, lifestyle, and taste all contribute to how you dress. your clothes should be an expression of who you are--not just in terms of what they look like but also how they make you feel when wearing them.

with all of these tips in mind, you should be able to create your style. remember that it doesn't have to be perfect right away! just keep experimenting with different looks until one feels right for you.
